My boy loves loves loves playing fetch. He wants to play all night and day.

It took a long time to get the final part down. Dropping the ball at my feet each time.

Not running past me, not gripping it tightly in his mouth, not dropping it 20 feet away.

My copilot Toby, strapped in his car seat. Always ready for a truck ride.

 

My wife called me offshore this morning, that is never a good thing. She had to take our male schnauzer to the vet. He had SARDS which made him go blind about a year ago. Well it finally hit his other organs. She had to take my boy back to the vet this afternoon to have him put to sleep. My wife and my girls were devastated. All I can do is talk to them over the phone. I wish I was there for them. This is the hard part about being away from home for work.

I’m sorry to hear, it’s very hard to lose a furry family member, especially when you have to share the grief remotely.

Sorry for the loss of your furry family member

 

Day 3! He’s just getting over his introduction into our family, he’s been very hyper over the past couple of days. He’s calmed down a bit, thankfully. Bought a DNA test kit for the puppy, I want to see if he’s a legit purebred Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever! Insane knowing only 5% of rescue (shelter) dogs are purebred. Purebreds are like $1,000, especially for rare breeds like this puppy. I only payed $350 because that was the shelters price cap on all animals. This puppy is definitely worth every penny.
