it’s a kit. I bought it before I really knew what I wanted to do with the truck. They just stick on. Not really worth the $ actually.

I know a lot more now then I did back then.

Painted up. Just needs to put in the truck now

I know the edges aren’t the best, but it’s what I could do with out any good way to make it smooth. At least nothing I had at the house.

Is it correct to assume that’s the location that a stock J shifter sits on a manual truck?

No. I have a crawl box too. Also it’s where I originally had twin sticks. So when I put a new tcase in, I had thebjbshift routed to the same hole

There are few things I would have done different if I had to do over again. Would have made the half cup holder smaller to have a bigger spot going between the hole for the shifter and half cup holder.
Also would have built up underneath close the main big cup holder and not have that hole in the upper right of it. Didn’t plan the transition to the shifter hole very well. If that part was $100+ I’d get another and redo it better.

Does anyone have any info on what modifications are necessary to make the stock FJ J-shifter fit next to the stock 6spd shifter? I understand that it'll be a cut rework, reweld type of thing, but just wanted to see if anyone had pics of their modified t-case shifter for a 6spd

i would imagine it would be similar to putting the crawl box shifter up there.

Isn’t the transfer case sitting too far back to allow this?

you’d have to make a serious dog leg to make that happen. I think the space used on the throws wouldn’t allow that much in the stock configuration. You could probably open up the passenger side of the center console and make it work.

Did you modify it any to get it where it is in these pics or is that where the shifter ended up? I may be asking the wrong questions. Do you know if the stock j-shifter needs modification to work with the 6spd shifter? I have this one waiting to go in

Yah with just the crawl box forward and back shifting we needed to modify that shifter. So I’d imagine adding the j shift would only make it harder to do. It could be possible but won’t know until you try I guess.

Thanks it was an eBay special. Got it to try to match the TRD shifter but it's a little darker

I just found a black one to match my black 6speed shifter that @Coupe made a while ago.
