Replaced the radiator support bushings. 66K miles and I can't believe how degraded they were. Glad I did it.

I was in GB for grad school. We will be in Milwaukee temporarily.

But my wife and I own a house just outside of Albuquerque and will be moving back to there in mid September. I grew up in New Mexico. Lived in Cali, Arizona, and Colorado. We both miss the west. The mountains. Big open skies. Mellow winters.

I’d say do it! Have you been to Houston?

The view from our back yard in NM. This is why we miss the West. Can’t find shit like this out here in the Midwest...

I have friends out west, I like it out there. I haven't been to Houston, we were going to go scope it out in a couple weeks but my job still can't give me a date to return, so I'm planning on losing it so I had to cancel. I thought of Texas because I like King of the Hill, and Houston because it looked nice in the show my 600 pound life. I might watch too much TV. . .

Beautiful view. Another reason I want to move Is the absurd house prices in Grand Rapids. Ik it's not as bad as California, but I also don't have the ocean near me, and there isn't much to do. I figure if I am gonna pay big city prices might as well live in a big city.

I semi-retired my truck today. But it's a good thing. It's no longer my daily driver, and will be reserved for truck stuff, not going to work and getting groceries. I bought a 2011 VW Jetta TDI Sportwagen. Has a lot of cargo room, and a surprisingly torquey little engine. Comfortable, fun to drive, HUGE sunroof, and most get 37-40+ mpg on the highway. Has 63k miles on it, so I hope to get 200k more out of it and make my Tacoma last another 150k miles. The two oughtta get me through the next 20 years. It looks like a dent in the driver's front fender below but it's just a reflection.

just try and keep the drains for the pano roof clear so you don't get the leaky roof stains and water in the spare tire tub.

Got a couple of things done this weekend.

mounted my front locker and add switch for my fj tcase. Also wired up some more lights to my auxbeam switch panel. Created my own dual inflator/deflator kit.

now just to get diff and tcase in!
