Yup. I’m so relieved. I still need to work the bracket a bit because the way i have it, it angles the light a little to far down. Honestly it seems like the CENTER of the X on bracket is the sweet spot so I may put a bigger washer and mount it in center or DIY my own bracket. But I didnt get a chance to test the light. Maybe its fine way it is.

You can see here where I moved it from the farthest slot to top. But if you ask me the sweet spot is probably dead center:

Could someone tell me what the L X W X D dimensions are of upTOP Alpha eX? I would also like to know what the inside dimensions are between the two sides. I'm trying to figure out if a 85" L X 55" W X 6.75" D hard shell RTT will fit on this rack.

    Thanks,

Has anyone here mounted a Yakima J Hook for kayaks on their rack? Curious if the load bars have enough clearance over the roof to accommodate the mounting hardware.

    Roger that.

Whose Quicksand @upTOPoverland Tacoma is that on IG with the Area BFE RTT? I'm trying to figure out how they got the RTT to fit. Did they use spacers or something? :notsure:

Yes, clearance will be okay as long as you use the bars on the ends.

    Thanks again.

Any chance you could post a pic of how it's mounted? I'm seriously interested in the TRUSS and Alpha eX set up. I'm just not sure I'm intelligent enough to figure out how to mount an RTT without some spoon feeding.

I'm envisioning a total of 9 to 12 spacers. Three spacers across mounted to three to four load bars. Just not sure how they would attach to both the load bars and the tent.

I was just browsing the uptop website and realized I didn’t think about mounting my stuff to my rack. Is the tracnut the only channel nut that won’t require disassembly Of the rack , or are there some options at hardware stores that will work?

tracnut is only nut you can drop into the bars. Any other option youll have to remove screws from at least on end of the bar to lift up and slide in
