Another question: Is there any type of wax or sealant that will help the vinyl wraps last longer?

 

Damn I should probably try removing the skid and putting it back on the thing is that the noise got worse after pushing down on the steps with my hands to try to find the source it sounds like an old truck when driving slow super squeaky another member did mention the radiator mounts I’m hoping that would fix it even though it’s a new truck I only have 14k on it

I would stand on the sliders and rock truck and jump up and down and couldn’t get it to always repeat. Brother was under the truck to try to locate it while I did this. Still couldn’t figure out where it was coming from but it wasn’t the sliders. It was coming from the front. Then I Lifted the hood and I just leaned on the driver side fender/headlight area and the squeaking started. So I now can go to the dealer and show them exactly. The radiator mounts still look new and don’t seem like there is any wear to them. But we’ll see what dealer says.

On another note, I washed and waxed the truck with chemical guys butter wax. First time doing it and I’m really happy with the results.

Yeah it’s annoying if you do go to the dealer let me know what they say about it I have a feeling they’re gonna blame it on the after market suspension that I installed even though the noise was there with stock suspension ... nice truck! I just got wheels and tires installed on mine this weekend huge difference in looks .. where did you get your soft topper

I’m a cheap bastard and bargain hunter. Sourced both softopper and pro wheels locally. Feel like I got a good deal on both.

 

I noticed a squeak like that when I was installing the wiring in my 2019. I traced it down to the where the front fender bolts to the headlight assembly. A slight turn of the bolt and the squeak went away. An odd thing, but not a huge item to fix.

 

I’ll give this a try before I take it into the dealer. Thank you!

 

You're welcome. I didn't find that I needed to tighten the bolt very much at all.

 

Just finished the on/off disconnect for the camper topper phucking thing..lol

Did it sound like metal to metal contact when driving a low speeds or getting in and out of the truck?

 

A lot of work you put in that. It's one of a kind and turned out awesome. Great attention to detail on everything.

 

Nice. Was the install easy? Can’t seem to find a video of how to install the OEM.

 

Had a PT Cruiser that i got when my grandpa passed. It did a similar thing and it ended up needing a computer and some sort of sensor. The computer was sensing faulty signals ro the MAF sensor i think

 

Just a little Downey in some water in a spray bottle. Spray it on the the hairy area and let it sit 5-10 minutes. The hair will wipe up with a rubber glove.
