Hi everyone! I'm new here and in the market for my first Tacoma. Budget is less than 20k and ideally less than 15k. I'm fairly limited in the physical distance of my search because I have a two year old and a three week old and I'm pretty sure my wife would leave me if I ran off across the country to try to buy a truck. Fortunately, there are a number of good options within about 100 miles of me. I've copied a few below. With that in mind, I'm looking for your expert opinions. A few things about me and my truck usage:

    1) this will be my first truck ever
    2) I mostly want the truck for hauling stuff (I am getting into woodworking and do lots of yard/gardening stuff)
    3) I know the 4x2 trd rear locker v 4x4 Sr debate more or less. I live in Indianapolis, so we get snow/ice (though nothing like you all in the northeast or mountain west). No plans for any hardcore off-road stuff, though.
    4) this truck will be a daily driver on my very short commute (~3 minutes)
    5) we camp and may be in the market for a small, lightweight travel trailer at some point
    6) I definitely want a v6. I definitely want a double cab so I can still carry the whole family.
    7) I'm open to first or second gen (though my wife is more open to a second gen and would prefer a backup camera if she ever had to drive it)

So, with these things in mind, what advice might you give me (besides look for rust... I'm already on that with every one I've driven)? Any of the trucks I linked below look like particularly good deals given my criteria? Anything else you need to know to point me in the right direction?

    Thanks so much!

You think? I haven't thought much about that as an option because I like the idea of being able to add some things to it and do basic maintenance myself. I'm not anti lease, though. I'll have to think about it.
