Unfortunately I have a pistol mounted on my passengers side with a molle panel, so I need to figure out how to incorporate all that. What chalk bag did you go with?

I wonder if figuring out a way to half the thickness of strap under the trim piece would help with the gap. Or maybe use velcro instead. Velcro grips really well to this carpet.

It really depends on the strap material - the canvas bags I purchased have really thick nylon straps, but some of the lightweight bags have really thin nylon that would barely create a gap.

I haven't tried this yet, but there is an internal edge that could be cut away to create a better path for the straps. The ridge is intended to help align the top and bottom trim, but I doubt removing a small portion would impact the fit and wouldn't be visible if you ever removed the cup holders.

I'm gonna have to give this a shot. This is a great idea though. My GF always has her hydroflask with her.

I put my water bottle on passenger side. Glock goes in center console or on molle on front risers of driver’s seat. I just got my truck a week ago so I am still trying to sort out where I want what. In all honesty, I like my “set ups” for carry in my LC and wife’s Jeep (Bartact seat covers with conceal pocket) better than what I have sorted for the Tacoma. I figure time will best figure out my set up though.

My OCD is mildly sparked by the gap in the surround. Because I used thinner wire than the OP I may take it home to Mom to use her sewing machine to run a seam in the top of the hoops so I can cut most of one side of the webbing off leaving less material that sits under plastic surround thus making the “gap” smaller.

Here is coat hanger I used with an iPhone factory charging cord for size reference. Snips easily with dykes and just bent the ends inward. 814378D9-E259-482F-841C-3B0568186D4E.jpg

Damn I knew I should have grabbed one of the free lost & found bags at the climbing gym before quarantine hit! I'll be watching FB marketplace for one to pop up and do this great mod idea! Nice idea @samjpatt

This sounds like a good solution to the gap. I also just added an optional step 2.1 to the instructions for removing some internal plastic to reduce the gap. I haven't tried it personally, but I'm 95% sure it will work.

Just got mine today. I may just attach some paracord and hang it from the headrest for now. Then work on a more permanent mounting solution when it cools off a bit here.

I bet you could attach the straps on the Static Climbing Bag to your molle panel.
