yeah that's actually a pretty gnarly image lol, he's really lucky that shot got knuckle-pucked and didn't hit him flying like a disc instead, probably would have killed him point blank like that

I’ll get a raise here in the next month to $12 but if I stay with it for another year or 2 but I can become a crew leader. The leader gets a set pay for each job. So if a job pays us $1100 to get the work done. I pay the helper his 10 hours for the day and then whatever is left I keep. So at $11 for 10 hours is $110 so.....$990 would be mine.

Man too bad you ain't got the day off; I'm heading down a few hours drive into Los Padres to hit up other fire roads.

I guess a Ford almost went down and could've plummeted +2,000 feet recently; wasn't paying attention and drove forward off the road. Same road I was on last week when I hung out with my brother.

Was posted in the norcal section

Be a shame if someone could make bad tenants disappear.

jesus christ that sounds awful. I do wonder though do you have to go through that same process if their lease is up? Like for example I was on a year long lease with my current place the first year, then it turned into a month to month. If our landlord suddenly decided he wanted us to move out because he wants a friend or family member to have the house instead, could he kick us out at the end of the month or would he have to go through this process?

I should add that if that did come up, I'd just go along with it I wouldn't put the landlord through hell. Esp cause our landlord is really cool. Just curious if this only applies to people with long leases like 1 year or more

It depends entirely on your local laws. I know here in Reno, a 30 day notice has to be issued, regardless of lease status. After the 30 day, they can just come in and move all your shit without your presence. You can obtain a 7 day lease termination and eviction in extreme cases where the property is being damaged.

And this kids, is why I will never be a landlord. Fuck that noise.

Yeah my wife's uncle has some pretty bad horror stories of renting out a couple of the houses he owns. Definitely makes you understand why they are so inclined to keep good tenants around for as long as possible. My last place I was renting (little studio guest house on someone's property), the lady was not happy when I told her I was moving out after 3 years lol.

yeah I see a lot of recoveries like that on the trails out here. Usually it's because someone is trying to avoid a collision with another vehicle headed the opposite direction, typically an ATV or SxS going way too fast. I always creep around corners and stuff on mountain trails. I'll go head on with someone any day rather than veer off a cliff lol. If the other guy is going too fast to stop then that's on him...say hi to my steel bumper

YUP. My pops only does lease agreements for a year now and asks for first and last up front and a security deposit. When COVID happened his tenant didn’t pay the month then left the next month so he lost about 3 months worth of rent due to that and there’s nothing he could do. Kinda sucks.

If the boot is torn and grease is all over it, or you have a popping noise coming from that side that you know isn't the LBJ or tie rods, etc

Or if it fails and leaves you stranded lol
