    Thanks

It’s actually been kinda strange lol
I’ve caught 2 decent sized fish on this rod so far (I put the outfit together Sunday night) and the fight from both has been underwhelming. Might be a fluke or they might not get as freaked out by the gentle pull from the spineless rod lol I don’t know. The 18” brown I stuck with my 3wt Saturday evening took 10 min and some prayers to land :)

The sunset hatch has been amazing the last 2 nights on the Farmington River, CT. 4 hatches happening over 90 min or so. I Can definitely tell the holdovers going after the larger sulphurs compared to the freshly stocked guys going for smaller caddis and Olives.
Dry fly action all night long.
Got my first rainbow of the season also :bananadance:

Enough to make it a lot of fun!
Got out fishing for the first time in a while. Finally able to get up into some high mountain water.

It is just a brookie but it is better than no fish.

Any other trout > brookies. :D

That 10,000' ASL mountain lake should be filled with native cutthroat. Not shitty little brookies that end up everywhere and out compete native species. :stirthepot:

100% Native here in the east. :D

Still places here where you can catch 5 lb+ native brookies.
