    Hey.

Has anyone put spacers on stock tires and wheels. I want my tires to stick out a bit but I don't have the budget right now to buy them.
Is it a good idea or not?
If have u done it can you leave picks
    Thanks

Not yet but I have spidertrax in my closet that I used on my previous 4Runners. They're great, just make sure you don't let anyone but yourself touch the wheels/tires after you've installed them as most places remove and install wheels with an impact wrench and will likely screw them up leaving you driving on three wheels down the freeway. It's actually not much of a concern in reality because most shops will not touch your wheels/tires once they learn you're running spacers due to liability reasons.

If you install them yourself exactly as the instructions direct and retorque after the mileage the instructions say and do your own maintenance on them, you should have as many trouble free miles as the rest of your vehicle.

My only complaint is that they may magnify any wheel balancing issues. 4Runners are apparently notorious for some wheel shimmy at 60ish mph, and although I never felt the shimmy running the OEM wheels without spacers, once I installed the spacers, I definitely had some noticeably annoying shimmy in the steering wheel. Not sure if that's an issue on the Tacomas though.

1” BORA and absolutely love them. Slightly more aggressive but not extreme.
