I had a cashier who has the audacity to try and charge me $0.25 for every single fastener I had in my ziplock bag that went to parts I was buying.

My truck is pretty much the junkyard. I remove toyota parts and place them in the side yard until I get tired of looking at them, then take them to the steel recycler and leave with about three-fiddy.

I always try and put the fasteners with the part if I can to try and avoid that.

Crazy lady across the street update -

She returned home yesterday after being gone for a few days after the police/fire truck/ambulance situation last Thursday. Looking like it was a mandatory psych detaining, probably because she threatened to hurt herself or others (only reason they can do that as far as I know).

Been basically sitting on her front porch most of the time with 2 of her 3 little dogs running loose all over the street like usual. Not sure what happened to the 3rd dog. She mostly sits there looking depressed, doesn't even try to get the dogs when they run after other people.

Today my wife texts me and says the police showed back up and she got into a yelling match with them over something, all she could make out was that the police were doing a wellness checkup and she wasn't having it. And then yelling something about her landlord trying to evict her (thank god)

Apparently the cops left and now some neighbors are talking to her

I bet a lot of the other tenants in her complex have been complaining and the landlord is finally trying to kick her out. TBH I can't wait for that day to come

more neighborhood gossip to come, stay tuned

On a budget I'd get SPCs or the rebranded Mevotechs from RockAuto.

Honestly I’m not but I’ve heard too many good things about SPC’s. Don’t they use a GM ball joint or something of the likes?

I've been using one of the cotton/leather hybrid jackets for years, they're nice if you're not on your back any not too hot. If you're on your back only thing that will protect you I'd leather. I also have sleeves when doing small jobs and tig. I use heavy tig gloves for most everything, they are a bit heavier and have padding on the back for heat. Rarely do I need anything heavier and they allow a good amount of dexterity.

Edit: they're mig gloves, Tillman 42l.

Flopping got out of control in the NHL a few years back, the league mostly put a stop to it. There's fines and penalties for embellishment.

camburgs but I’m biased because I know the owner and he makes a quality product for sure. I plan to get them once money allows.
