You must have the late shift. Hang in there! This thread has officially superseded the meme thread for me when it comes to passing idle time at the office and at home. The articles, videos, pictures, and posts about riding have helped re-ignite my passion and desire to continue riding this year when I was on the verge of selling my bike completely a few months ago. Now I have a new (to me) bike and spent more time riding in the past 4 weeks than I have in the past 4 years. So thanks for being a bunch of awesomely passionate motherfuckers who share the same enthusiasm for being on two wheels that i once did. You've stoked the fires.

I completed my 3rd official mod on the triple today. Can anyone spot it? I'll give you a hint...it's purely aesthetics.

I thought about this over the weekend on my 150 mile ride and chuckled to myself everytime I hammered down through my gears rolling up to a stoplight with the clutch lever fully depressed. Guess I dont belong anywhere near a motorcycle either :notsure:

One day I hope you try it. Makes the ride so much more enjoyable engine braking into turns and throttling out in the perfect gear. I don’t care if you don’t engine brake coming to a stop light.

I’ll second that this is an awesome thread. Is it the brake reservoir?

I finished the tune up and complete tear down/ clean-up and am just now getting it back together. Still have to paint a few body panels and the skid plate. Here is what she looks like right now.

I'll probably ride it for a bit and then decide on a long term plan for it. Will post it up here if I ever decide to sell.

did you get frame sliders? I guess those would be functional if you dropped it.

Was @uurx linking this guy earlier about the religious quotes? I forgot, but he seems local to @FreshOldTaco and me (kinda). Anyways, Im watching this, and clicking on interesting links on the suggestions on the right.

@Littles glad we could get you interested in the fun hobby again! Doesnt have to be about technical, or what you can or cant do, or the mods.. Like @grdgz97 and @MagtechPA say is just get out and scoot. Or maybe a reason why Ive had 13 bikes in 10 years. I like all of them, but cant have just one or 2 (and no room for them either. I gotta start storing them in my house).

And yea, I work 1-1130pm on Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday I work 6am-430pm, and then Thursday I work 8pm-630am. Its 4x 10h days, but I get wednesday afternoon off and all of thursday day. And the weekend. So I guess it works out

Winner winner chicken dinner. Replaced that crappy plastic reservoir with the machined one from triumph. I have to say, I am impressed once again with the quality, fit, and ease of installation with the factory triumph stuff.

Oh well ripping through curves is a totally different thing. That's what makes me laugh about that whole thing last week or whenever it was. Theres a time and a place for engine breaking. 2nd gear, 60 mph puts that bike in the top 1/3 of the rpm range which is a happy place to ride through the curves.

The VFR is what really taught me to downshift and keep my RPMs up because of the VTEC issues with my model year. It was nominally exciting below 6800, it screamed above 7200. In the middle? That was no mans land. So I just always road that thing above the VTEC. Sounded better with the carbon fiber cans with the tac closer to the red zone anyway. :D
