    There's no push-pull cable or linkage between the shifter and the transmission anymore. Ford could have just used a rotary dial like Ram, too.

    Changing radio stations in the Ram is done with steering wheel controls or the touchscreen.

    And the M&P should be stored with the grip pointing right.

    The 2020 GM 1/2 tons I've been in had a column shift. I think most 3/4 ton an up trucks also have a column shift.

    I prefer a column shift in a full size truck.

    Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
    up through 2020, F-150s still have a column shift depending on the package/trim. sport trim = automatic console shift.
