very nice! If I can find an extended cab, that is what I want ideally. They are hard to find around here though. biggest problem I have with the v6 is those damn head gaskets. I dont mind fixing it but it is a major pita to have to worry about it all the time

From what I have heard the HG issue was on the earlier models?
I sold my truck with 230,000 miles on it and it never had a HG problems.
The only issue I had with my 94 was I had a brake line go bad and Wade broke the U joint lol!

they may have been. I haven't had any experience with the v6. My 93 had brake line issues as well. haha mine was in the passenger rear. I was afraid to do any work on mine when I had it because everything under it was nothing but rust. the bed started getting massive holes in it as well towards the end of me owning it.

Mine did not have much rust at all just a bit over the wheels that I had fixed.

No A/C was the only reason I sold it.

I am sure I will get over it. I am just so careful with everything I own. Maybe to the point where I don't enjoy it?

You are right. Neil's driveway totally qualifies offroading...especially going downhill!

I know, but I couldn't very well drive when Ben loves the truck. I think I might have to give it to him .

Yeah the my dad had the truck prior to me and the last 5 years or so before I started driving it it pretty much sat. He drove it maybe twice a month so that didn't help with the rust at all.
Don't worry. Once you get that first scratch and heart attack out of the way it will be ok. I swear I felt my stomach in my throat when I saw the first ding on mine. Now that rock rash wasn't too bad to see.

Tell Ben he has a Jeep to drive! :p

Just hearing about it protecting from the tree sap and making the water bead up did it for me. I have a tree next to the driveway that drops these little berries that stick to the paint and are almost impossible to get off. Then the water spots all over drive me absolutely insane. Maybe the car will stay a little cleaner. No worries, I am getting a can of it off ebay this week :D

I too am in favor of a winter meet. Take over Bdubs or Quaker Steak. :hungry::hungry:

I know, that Jeep is pretty awesome. I love it too, but there is just something awesome about a shiney new truck. Fo shizz, I also use the xzilon for detailing; it is nice to have it in the car for quick clean ups.
Those little icons make me hungry.

I'd be interested in bdubs sometime. If there is enough interest I might be able to do a meet sometime in January. It just depends on the weather, as I'm really not a fan of the cold.

Ok guys you made me do it, here is a pic of my old 4Runner. She was beautiful, not a scratch or a spot of rust which was really rare w/ 140k plus and the chrome bumpers.

My old 94 pickup had a "hard" brake line fail while my wife was driving it to her work one day... I'm glad it had a manual and she was able to slow down by downshifting. I had to take the entire bed off because it was right next to the gas tank and I was not able to get my hands and tools in there to fix it.
Other then that, the truck was a blast! And yes, it was stock suspension, with the t-bars cranked up a few notches in the front.

Looks like the itch has gotten ahold of Brian for a little while. :D When can we expect the hood scoop lights?

Kate, If I take my truck up the other hill, you have to as well.

While we are posting pics of our old Toyotas :) Here is the Toyota I sold last January. Made 375rwhp(19psi) on pump gas and 442rwhp(26psi) on race gas. Really miss this car, hopefully replace it with a C6 Vette next summer. -Wade-

U guys worry to much. Enjoy ur trucks , they are far more capable than what u think. And if u get stuck we will get them out...
And besides, if ur not comfortable with an obstical u don't have to do it.

    Bills is no big deal...

Ps. I still make payments on mine + Its my family's dd. So lame excuses why you would.. but u can't don't work on me
