Oh yessss I wanted to use one baaaaad when I did the fronts on our two :rofl:
For real I wanted to:D, I bet it makes greasing that bushing, and just getting fresh grease in there, so nice. That's an important bushing to make sure stays greased in the 80 series as well.

Oh yes.. Got to keep that brass bushing lubed. I'm leaning a lot about wheel bearings this summer.

Bad enough that your ass is on fire way before you get to the cheese grater, provided that its hot outside.

Seriously, whoever thought reflector slides were a good idea mustve enjoyed the pain of burning flesh.

Stuff designed to be rebuildable/serviceable is my fetish:D
I replaced the front wheel bearings on my hundy about 6 months after I got it. I didn't catch it quick enough to just be able to service them and be good. My mpg started dropping and investigating that led me to find the wheel bearing play and Bob's your uncle. MPGs back to normal and ride as well. Had to have been close to 200k miles on them and the 100 series is one heavy pig too

The plastic slides weren't much better, get to the end and touch the sides and ZAP

Tighten until it gets loose again.

Just snug with a ratchet though. Not like anything catastrophic will happen if they fall out, just some noise.
