I appreciate it thank you. I had no idea and I will look into the shackle hanger thread!

Edit: to clarify, if I buy the shackle hanger then I do not need to trim the leaf pack?

yes, if you get the hangers for sure. I'm not aware of them needing to be trimmed for a stock mount but I could be wrong. My truck had a one-off hunk of crap as a mount when I bought it, which is why I went to the BAMF bolt on mounts with HD shackles.

I hate when people hack up wiring. I actually enjoy doing proper wiring, I had to fix the radio harness on mine. It's just tedious.
That brake light connection is simple so it shouldn't be tough to fix it properly. Just a little time consuming.
I would be curious to see a picture of that wiring if you happen to snap one haha.

not certain as the option didn't exist back when I added them. I did this over a year ago. But i'd guess it's the 2.0. You might email him and ask which is the original. They are three completely separate strips, so the install relationship of the colors is 100% on you.
    Good quality vinyl tho.

No, the hangers themselves don't move. Just helps stiffen up the
What the guy below you said! About 2-3 inches on just the side where the shackle is. 2 leaf from the top, right below the eyelet! Way easier to do it when they are out, I guess the original design was from a hilux if I remember correctly and there a slight fitment issue on Tacoma’s.

Added a hose clamp to the tailgate on my recently purchased truck. Was surprised to find a 2011 never had anything installed to slow-down tailgate removal. MO2UEH4hsNzBnkafH9HQtq8rZNh5K74eYSGA_frs_af246fe20c315f8b13a68a6a2e48dd01388e700f.jpg

I installed my PRO knockoff grille and new Hooke rear bumper. The bumper looks awesome and fits great. No issues with the install.

Have you cleaned the throttle body? I did mine for the first time at 50k and it was nasty.

Why do the throttle bodies on Tacomas get so nasty? I've had other cars and this never seemed to be an issue.

I mean it wasn't ridiculous, but a few microfiber towels fulfilled their destiny while cleaning it.

Time for the shop to replace those control arms.

I absolutely hate having shops work on my vehicles. The level of not mine, don't care is way to high at most places. Sure they might fix one issue, but introduce several others.

As an example Tactical Application Vehicles (TAV) in New Mexico had backed the drivers door into the shop vice where is makes constant noise. Shop said since it is not viewable by most they would only provide touchup paint. I worked work Walt when he first started for a work trade welding spindles, Walt backed out of the agreement. TAV also damaged the front hubs on my truck, Installed Fox Coilovers backwards where it hit the sway bar on Mark's truck, Sold and did not stand behind their James Baroud Tents with both Chris and myself when they failed, Installed onboard air on customers F350 with questionable wiring....

I could go on, but main point is when and where possible do the work yourself.
