    No such thing. Profit is profit. Pat yourself on the back and trade it again if you think it has upside.

    I just set trails on my NVDA options and NAIL. Now I just sit and wait for the profit to lock in. And it will be profit. lol

    NAIL just sold. In at 24.08 out at 25.69. 6.7% profit in 24 hours.

    NVDA will trigger today. It's on a big run right now and it always swings bigger then my trail is set at. Now, I gotta go to work. Good luck today guys.

    Anyone with TD Ameritrade...Is think or swim the only way you can set a trailing stop? I can only see market and limits on my app and desktop...

    I use TD for my Roth and Etrade for my play (Etrade is also the brokerage for my ESPP) and personally, aside from the stock research and analytics available I think TD interface sucks ass in comparison. And don’t get me started trying to research options on TD, unless I just haven’t come across their golden basket of info on that yet

    Edit to say, I think most “ advanced” stuff has to be done through think or swim but I’m not 100%

    Yeah...once I set the order in Think or swim I can edit it in the app/desktop but I just realized that I don't think you can set trailing stops without think or swim for options...it's just not there on the transaction page...

    Yeah...I contacted them on Twitter...apparently they want you to access the Think or swim SITE when you are mobile for this type of trade...
    So I just did opened TOS

    Sooo for my AMD 50 Aug 21 calls that Jumped $150 I set a Trailing stop of 0.50 with current price of 5.60 and I bought at 4.075 So I am guaranteed a 25% profit on $800...

    You're right of course, but a 34% gain that could've been a 100% gain feels like a loss sometimes. In other words, my mistake cost me money.

    It's like the one day you don't play your numbers...
    I have a megabucks doubler season ticket...I buy it in DEC when the Mass lottery does a 10% off sale...you get 5 free weeks...It takes about 6 weeks for the ticket to activate so I bought the same numbers in the meantime...and of course I hit for 4 out of 6 TWICE in Feb. $200...Ticket cost $90 :)

    Today is a PRIME example of why stop losses on the 3x leveraged ETF's can screw you...If you had a stop loss on NRGU it swung down to $3.55 at 9:50....and now we're at $3.81...Now if you'd bought at $3.55....I really don't like to ever sell in the first 15 to 30 min of the day unless I'm way up or things are disaster
