Had an opportunity to try out the red and white @MESO map lights. The whites are ridiculously bright. Even compared to the reds. I'm sticking with the reds and am going to throw in a white dome light once those are available. Some comparison pics:20200629_220807.jpg 20200629_220840.jpg 20200629_221316.jpg 20200629_221254.jpg 20200629_221644.jpg 20200629_221655.jpg

What have I done to my 3rd Gen lately? I turned Dumbo into a Jack Rabbit off the line. S-Mode 3rd gear all day long in city driving. Dumbo turns into an aggressive lusty beotch. Leave it in 3rd. Don't touch it. What more Viagra? S-mode in 3rd or 4th and ECT PWR all day long. My girl with the big ears is horny off the line and at 35mph, 45mph, 55mph.

Y'all do know that S-Mode is about ELIMINATING gears and remapping the shift points and giving the ol' donkey more torque at all speeds? Throw in some ECT and you got yourself a daily Jack Rabbit.

S-mode is my daily drive. Only use "D" for highway cruising...

And S-Mode is not about trying to shift like a manual... Stick in 3rd or 4th and leave it. Hit 5th gear when needed.

I'll take on any 'aluminum' Raptor at a 35mph starting pace any day, any time.

    My Dumbo is fast!

Just kidding. My cousins yard flooded pretty bad, due to a severe passing storm. He lost power so I went by to pickup some stuff from his fridge. It was hailing!!!!

Simple answer is YES. I use this on my Taco being about 1/3 of it is covered with PPF. I have a friend with a Tesla that is wrapped and it does a great job.

Finished blacking out my dash with a Meso Customs 4x4 ring. Only part of his interior chrome delete kit that fits a manual transmission.

Yes- my son and I use this every week. Love this stuff. No problem so far. He even has a huge vinyl racing stripe.

Same here. I'm trying one of Trailbreaker Customs shift knobs and it has a black collar, so that cup holder ring will be the last thing. Although, I have a vinyl covering on it currently. And Meso does have the black out door handles coming...

No offense to the fine work Meso puts out, but it takes about 10 minutes to get the manual transmission chrome ring out and hit it with a few coats of quality spray paint. That isn't a high touch area so it should last a long time. This was the route I've taken with all of the chrome pieces in the interior. I had to take out to replace so why not at least try a little DIY first.

    wanna be mods
corrected an absurd pinion u joint working angle of 10 degrees with a set of 4 degree shims and replacement bolts...which seems to have solved the nasty grinding rotational sounds (no noticed vibrations originally with steering wheel) 4deg_shim.jpg
    Here's the u-joint sound: https://youtu.be/l68XpaIRBY8

of course the last day I drove it (3+ wks ago) I ended up getting serious shimmying and drive vibrations and finally got it up on my neighbors lift to do the shim install and noticed I sheered off a wheel stud and lug nut, not just the lug nut as the neighbor initially observed. sheered wheel stud.jpg

Replacement lug nuts have been delivered today, but last night we set the wheel stud, remounted the rear wheels and torqued down 11 of the 12 rear lug nuts...I coasted ~500 ft. from his garage over to my house and again didn't hear any grinding.new wheel stud.jpg

Can't wait to get home, throw on and torque down the lug nut and take the truck for a drive to get both on pavement and to completely rule out the driveline issue and hopefully hit some dirt this weekend!
