Okay, we're all on the same page then. Something must've just gotten lost in text.

Those freestanding awnings look nice, I might have to look into ditching my ARB awning for one. It would be nice to have some on the fly shade that isn't a hassle to set up.

Here's a video of setting up AluCab's, super pricey, shadow awning. It's the same basic design as the OVS ones I linked. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fv0zCehIdfc

Not sure I see the advantage as that is also not free standing. And I would have to put it on the opposite side of the truck from how the RTT folds out making for a HUGE footprint. Or an I missing something?

EDIT: 4' ARB also cost less than $180.

The peregrine is freestanding. It does have optional poles and lines though for if its breezy, etc. Footprint wise, its a judgement call. If you always have the tent unfurled too, they're about the same, but I use my awning a lot hanging out for post ride beers and it works super well for that on its own.

I guess for that amount of money, I could just buy 4 of the ARB awnings and just put one on each corner of the Prinsu. TOTAL COVERAGE:rofl:

Here's a short video of some riding from Sunday at Snow Summit Bike Park!

the strap on my backpack kept dropping in front of the lense so a lot of the footage was useless...

I have a SB100 but I’m loving that new Transion Spur. I might have to demo one.

I fucking hate people. I told the guy I’d 100% buy it and as we’re discussing shipping he says someone is gonna come pick it up. Douche.
