Broke right-rear shock

    It snapped off right at the base where it attaches to the axle. The shock absorber isn't from the factory - it's a cheapy replacement. So for now I just pushed it out of the way until I can swap in a new one this coming week. I just have to be careful over bumps :)

    Time for an upgrade.

    This can happen if the shock body is too long for the application. When the shock bottoms out it will eventually break the weld.

    On 1st gen Tacomas one shock is shorter than the other. If they are mounted incorrectly (long shock on the short side) the shock can be damaged. Stock replacement shocks should be side specific.

    Hmm my 5150's were the same part number and neither one said right or left. i hope there on right.
