Man I hate it for you but I would (and have) done the same thing. First come first serve with the least amount of hassle for me. I've had people back out too so until there is cash in my hand it's still for sale.

It’s a huge part on why I hate buying used. But in my opinion don’t say you’ll ship if you’re going to turn around and sell local after someone has already committed to buying it. I’m sure the local guy would want to buy it tomorrow if I didn’t send money. If you can’t even give someone an hour to send money and complete a deal, you have poor ethics.

Again, first to put cash in my hand(or send the money) owns it. That was a hell of a deal though. I just sold my identical shock for the same price and it was 1.5 years old.

Well good, That's a great deal for a new shock. What frame are you putting this on?

It’s going on my 5010. Everyone I talked to and everything I read said this shock makes the 5010 come alive. I’m also going replace the air spring assembly in the fox 34 so it will bump it to 140mm.

I was going to say I live in Colorado Springs and could go punch him in the junk for you. Sounds like he listened to reason.

I have had the same issues with people stringing me along so I’m also with others when I say first person with cash/Venmo in my hand wins.

I get it. But at the same time just tell the first dibs guy like hey I have people wanting to buy local so pay shipping and send money today or I’m moving on. Haha oh well. I’m stoked to see the difference it makes. :bikewheelie2:

Okay, I had an older model Fox 34 Talas that I did some upgrade kit to and it was absolute night and day difference. I was going to recommend that but you don't need it at all.

Something like that. The 50mm (stock) is 130mm and the 57mm puts it at 143mm I believe. I’m guessing it’s 135-136mm

Where are you getting 57mm? The shock you linked has a stroke of 52.5. If you take out the 2.5mm spacer that is installed you'd have a stroke of 55mm which my math would put you at 143mm. I would expect you would have clearance issues at that point.
