Replaced rear shoes and cylinders (due to shearing a bleed valve, very rusty)

    Shoes were a bit thin...

What's the best way to check the diff breather's functionality? Just push on it and see if it moves up and down easily?

Same as the other one. Feel it and see if the cap moves freely. You can grab it in one hand and still feel it.

5 mins later and you would have had to wait for that pic. My house is just under the "v" in Evansville.

Just heavy rain. We had 5 inches Sunday, almost 2 yesterday, and now close to 2 more inches today. That's about an entire Summers worth of rain in 3 days.

Looking to swap out bench seat for bucket seats so I can ride when my wife is driving
Looking for advice, new to this forum. I am swapping out bench seat for bucket seat in our 2002 std cab Tacoma. What is best method for removing the plugs or covers from mounting holes in the floor that the bench seat did not use and the bucket seats need for the rear inside mount? If I drill them out are there threads behind them I need to protect? Same issue in order to mount the center console.

Not totally clear on what you are saying. By bolt in do you mean I need to drill it out and use a bolt, washer, and nut to secure the mounting? Or are you saying there are threads and once I remove the plug I just screw in a bolt?

Thank you for the welcome and quick reply

just talked to a guy at Big Sky Toppers in Bozeman MT and he's getting a quote written up for me on a new ARE topper. Planning on going with a sliding front window, vented windoors on both sides, a single T-handle lock in the rear, A charcoal gray carpet headliner, and Roof tracks. I might also splurge and get a Yakima Roof Rack right off the bat, but i think i'll save the 250 dollars and wait. what do y'all think? am i being too cheap?

changed the oil today. A complete pain in the ass as usual. that oil filter's location is just downright stupid. i seem to have found the perfect way to get to it though with my Flex head ratchet, a 9" extension (3" stacked onto a 6"), and a U-joint adapter connected to a filter socket. made it as painless as it couldve been. I changed it at exactly 3k and the oil still had a lot left to go. not brand new by any means, but it looked like it could've gone another 1,000 miles. i think i'll do the next one in 4k.

in other news... this came in today, along with the stubby cap for the antenna. it's not ideal but it seems like the best option for the time being. I can't even remember the last time i actually used the radio. I was going to put this on the canopy, but seeing as it's getting sold as soon as someone will make an offer i'm just going to put it in the glove box and wait till i get my new cap.
