Oregon/Washington Craigslist Ads

I'm not the authority on this... but I don't think that holds true for the 3rd gens. I replaced my seat skins with Katzkins and I don't remember there being a difference between models... but maybe.

 

Ask:

I need a small welding job done. I have the Firestone Ride Rite airbags + Daystar cradles installed, and the support bracket needs an extension to properly rest on the axle. I had purchased the bolt on extensions, but they did not fit. Any welders or shops you could recommend?

Meh... I have Offroad Wet Okie in my sport they fit fine. I didn’t know the off road seats were different until last weekend when my buddy and I drove each other’s trucks. I didn’t notice but he said something about how much better he lined the sport seat. I noticed his 6” bracket lift drove like a dump truck even after swapping in the dirt logics, upgraded from rough country’s that rode like a clapped out piece of farm equipment.

 

pretty sure that its just the SR5s that have different seats. the OR and Sport have the same seats

 

05-11 trd sports had better seats than the sr5 or OR. 12-15 both sports and OR’s have the better seats.

 

It was a 10’ Offroad. Lol, I’m sure my seat feels a little different after having 330# ride around in it for 140k miles​

 

my seats in my 06 OR are not the same seats that are in the sr5. they are way better.

 

I think there were a couple different seat options in the early sr5 and OR’s cause some have the fold flat passenger seat, but the sports had the “best” ones with the side bolsters.

nope, the only way it was ordered was as an offroad. ive had it since it was brand new and rolled off the lot. had no kinda of upgrades other than TRD Offroad package. doesnt even have steering wheel controls

 

plus i had the old TRD seat covers that you could get from toyota and they only fit the TRD seats whether it was SPORT or OR. didnt fit the SR5 or base models

 

@wrmathis that’s awesome, I’ve always seen that only the sports have them, that was part of the reason I got a 14 OR cause I wanted the better seats and all the early OR’s I checked out didn’t. Seems you got lucky, or maybe dealer ordered that way? There’s always variations to Toyota’s model “rules” though

@wrmathis well I’ll be... now everyone needs to double check their seats

 

here is something else that people dont realize. not ALL OR have the electric/hydro boost mastercylinder. some have the ABS blocks over on the passenger fender like the Sports. This is cuz before 09 not all OR had Atrac. Mine is one of these.
