    I have gutter guards when it rains real hard the water shoots right across the top of some of them.

    Oh, well, there's your culprit. I often wonder about those. I've seen some at the big box stores that look more like stretched steel with a step type pattern molded in. I have thought about adding them to our gutters. I also want to replace some of the spikes with screws. I'm getting tired of getting up there to bang them in every year. I'm too old for that shit.

    No Sir they are the full cover kind that the water wraps around the edge. The mesh kind would probably work a lot better.

    Ahhh, so you did sustain damage then. Damn. Well at least you have insurance and they ponied up. I'd like to get our roof redone. Hell, I still need to do the pool bar from when that tree came down on it. So many chores so little time. So little money..........
