Nice, did they quote you a price or a time frame there on the spot or are they going to have to work one up? I wonder if they will replace the entire door or try to fix that..........

They are going to get back to me later today with all of that. They said they'll probably have to replace the entire door because it is easier than doing the skin.

We went 1/2 on yft. The one we lost was not ready to come aboard. It shook the gaff shot, dumped a 50 straight down, and straightened the hook.

Always worth it. I love being out there.

@68dave as of now, i don’t need that bracket we talked about but i do have another issue to fix.

I have a noise on start up that doesn’t start right away every time. Its much more brief now. All the pulleys felt fine when i had the belts off. I’m thinking it could either be the clutch fan pulley/bracket assembly somehow making noise or maybe my reman alternator is taking a shit already. Belts are within spec and feel/look fine. I used continental belts with a 3 year 30k warranty this time in case i have a problem with a belt due to whatever is making this noise. Any thoughts or suggestions?

I put stickers for more horse power!
After washing under/front of the engine I had a loud squealing noise; it was only at starting. I found that the ac comp belt was making the noise. I removed the skid plate and adjusted the ac pulley by turning clock wise that bolt head under the pulley; you know: the adjuster bolt, problem solved!

I know its not the powersteering or the AC belts because they have never made noise...and I just tensioned all of them to proper spec. :pout:

Its always sounding like its coming from the alternator or the top of the motor...

And yes, the stupid hood scoop leaks soo every time it rains or snows, the belts all get wet and slip a little from time to time. Its a common problem with the scooped hoods. :(
