I always save my receipts from dealer. I hope ur not suggesting that they say they changed my oil and put me a sticker on my windshield and then give me paperwork saying they did it but then they actually didnt do it. I wouldn't believe that they are that crazy

If it happens all the time you sound like a do it urselfer and have never taken ur truck for any kind of service cause u do it all. If that's the case that's great. It's like a transmission service or changing the spark plugs, I cant see that they done it so therefore how do i no they did it. Right. Unless u just do everything urself

Lot of threads about dealers who did an oil change under ToyotaCare and didn’t change the oil, or half of what is listed for them to do.

Believe what you want to believe buddy. But keeping your head in the sand is pretty dumb if you want to call anybody out about it. Do. What. You. Want.

Just because 20 other guys got lied to doesn’t mean you will. It also doesn’t mean you won’t. Try marking your filter sometime and see if they changed it.

Oh FFS - the images you posted completely contradict your claim.

Look at note 1 where it specifically excludes the extended service schedule.

Then look at the cute little symbols on the service timeline. You get an oil change at 10 and 20k miles. See the cute little oil can symbol at 10K and 20K miles? Those are your free oil changes.

You get a 5K, 10K, 15K, 20K and 25K service. Only two of them are oil changes. The others are inspections and tire rotations.

It's all good. I believe if it was a small shop they could b that un ethical but I cant b suspect that all dealers would b that stupid otherwise if it got out noone would ever go get service done of any kind

I'm not going to argue but I will gladly post my oil change sticker on my windshield and receipt showing I didn't pay anything if I can get u to agree that u were wrong? In fact I wont even have 5k at 6 months but they still are doing it. It's not my 1st truck from them

This is exactly what I was told when I picked up my new truck earlier this month.

I’ve worked as a service writer before. I bet you’ll get a free oil change. They’ll get sick of trying to explain it to you and it’s easier to just comp it and get you out of the door.

I would rather pay someone to do it but that doesn't make me a bad guy does it.

They won't give me an oil change to just get me out the door. I've been going there over 25 years. They've made a small fortune over the years doing all maintenance work

Hey, that's great! Sounds like you have a very good standing relationship with your long time dealer and that's a good thing. Maybe they will give you a couple of courtesy oil changes at 5k and 15k.

But that doesn't mean everyone in the state of Texas, or any other state for that matter, will get them every 5k with a new truck.

Being a long time customer has it's perks!

    Ted
