What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

The wireless car play is awesome. Although I haven’t upgraded my speakers, I do notice a big difference in sound quality compared to the stock stereo. Big thing I noticed, the volume can go waaay louder than stock. I’ve always noticed that the stock stereo at full volume is still pretty low compared to other vehicles I’ve been in. Not a problem anymore.

What dash kit is that? Looks so much better than my POS Metra

 

I very much recognize that.......and still want you anyway. I have already cut many parts of my truck already. My motto.......dents, dings, and scratches give a truck character.

 

It’s also a metra. Part number 95-8235. Black. Not sure if mine just looks good in the photo or it’s the same thing you have haha, I think it looks pretty good I’m happy with it

 

My thoughts exactly...PO had the head unit installed with the Metra kit and I hate how they attempted to match the factory radio texture with it.

95-8214TB fits the 05-11 trucks and looks very similar.

 

Damn, both grills are awesome. I can’t stand the one on mine. What company did you go with for the new one? I’ve seen EAG makes one that’s fairly inexpensive.

 

That’s the one I have. I hate the texture and the super cheap feel

 

Truck looks great and you are saving a bunch of $$ DIY. Bending is tricky looks like you are on the road to a real good start.

Notching does not have to be perfect the welder is great for hiding small mistakes

Well dang, there goes that idea. Try fitting the 12-15 surround and hope for the best? I would imagine that it would physically "fit", just don't know how well it would lne up with the 05-11 dash surround.

I’ve heard the scosche is the one to get. Looks better and is better quality and not as flimsy
