The video feed from the drone ships is via satellite and relies on a direct line of sight for the signal. It's not too dissimilar from the way a DirecTV customer receives their signal and if you've ever had DirecTV (or Dish Network), you know it can be temperamental in a hard rainstorm. On that drone ship, there is an immense amount of disturbance going on from the booster slowing itself for the final bit of the landing. The feed always goes out, but it is the live feed that goes out. The video is still recorded.

There are videos from the droneship of it landing:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KDK5TF2BOhQ

And videos taken from afar of it successfully landing on the droneship:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1sJlFzUQVmY&feature=youtu.be&t=73

    And landing and falling over:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=or5nVPL6E_Y

Lots of questionable stuff out there, but I don't think this is one of them ;).

Don't think I can be there to help cook, but I'm planning on heading out to @Bigdaddy4760 's at some point. Good chance I can get my smoker fired up out there, too!

Its all good I"ll be there showing off my newly acquired skills.:D I just got into the pork but I made on saturday with the spicy rub.:drool::drool: I went kinda heavy on the rub which gives it a little more kick than the last one and it has so much flavor! I'm pretty dang proud of myself.
Do we break in the pit for @bvbull200 :anonymous::rofl:

That's awesome! I followed the posts, but was busy at the time. I need to go back and comment. Food looked great!

Hell, Maner has so much sweat equity in that thing he has every right to fire it up, too. He's let me tend his pit, too, so we're all good. Game respects game. ;)

There will be plenty more pics of cooks of mine to come. I only smoked a 2 lb pc of pork butt. Cut the ~8lb one I got into 2 or 3 pcs before freezing so I'll need to cook again in a week or 2 at the most! I'm excited that I'll get more practice than once a month:yes:!

You’re quoting me from a month ago lol. Stay tuned, I’ll post pics of the astronauts hanging from wires while “in space.” Give me a month or so to research and gather evidence

Needs some LT also to help it get in place! It'll just compress to the bump stops when its lifting. Also makes the pro eagle wheels look cheap.
