hello all. I got my 2019 Tacoma V6 last year, and I am wanting to make some changes to it..

I want a new front grill (and need the garnish with it) but my dealership quoted me around $600 for all of it, and I am seeing it much cheaper online.. Is it best to bite the bullet and get it all for $600 or is that a rip off?

This is the part I wanted to get: My dealer is charging $280, vs this link is $118..

This is the garnish I would need: My dealer is charging $270 vs I'm seeing some online for way less.

    Any help is welcomed.. Thanks!

In my opinion $280 for the OEM isn't a bad price, but the garnish is way over priced. I think the links you provided are for non-OEM parts - nothing necessarily wrong with that.

IMO, purchasing from your local dealer would be my last option. There are several success stories from aftermarket vendor purchases on TW. Find a TW member with the grill you want and ask where they got it.

Thanks dudes.. Yeah I mean I'm torn because I know the garnish effects the front break censor and I don't want to risk a malfunction with a crappy $40 part vs the real deal at $260.. But I just wasn't sure if the dealership garnish was way inflated, or if the one I was looking at was a piece of crap.

I recommend you do a web search for "OEM Toyota Parts," which you'll find links to online Toyota dealers. Search for your truck, and specifically the part number for your new grill. Check the price on that link, and compare it to your local dealer.

You can also do web searches using that part number to place like Amazon to see if you can find a cheaper price. Frankly if your dealer is offering you a OEM Toyota part for that much under the Toyota retail price, it sounds like a great deal.
