I really feel the rears right now when hitting bumps, so maybe I'll just do the rears for now and see how the fronts do stock.

Switching the stock rears for 5100s helps with that hitting the rear bump stops on dips when lightly loaded.
I've never tried the 5160's, but the 5100s for around a hundred bucks each are a great deal for a much fatter & more competent then stock shock.

So... with the 6112s up front on 5/6 and the 650lb springs... will it ride fine with no bumper/ winch? Bumper I'm looking at will probably be 8 to 10 weeks to get made. Not sure I can stand having the lift just sitting there that long lol.

It is going to ride a little stiff and maybe higher than you expect. Have people done it.....sure, should you wait, most likely, but it is your truck and ultimately up to you.

I guess my real question is would it cause problems? I know it will be a little higher and harsher for a bit.

I can't see it doing much regarding wear and tear for a couple of months.

I suppose I could put the clips at 4/5 until I got the bumper.

I just ordered a new set of 6112s to replace mine from 2015 - with 135K miles.

The fun part is going to be pulling the 700# springs off the old ones to install on the new ones.

Install them 6112's right away! I think 650s will ride fine at 6/5 until bumper arrives.

Believe it or not you might have to get another alignment after adding bumper/winch. The front end will drop down some.

I wouldn't, unless you have easy access to disassemble the coilover.

If anyone is going to Firestone to get the lifetime alignment here is a coupon.

That’s how I’m running right now with 0 problems or complaints. I’m a 1/4” low in the front as it sits stock

I'm confused by what you mean. You're lower in front already without a bumper?

Yep. I figured my front would be high till I got the bumper. I was level at first then settled a 1/4”. Will see how much the bumper weighs it down.

I apologize, yes I believe that your first one was the right one. I clicked the wrong button. Sorry about that. if you order the bushing, you can add the seal in the drop down of the bushing menu.

I appreciate it, I rather replace it while doing the suspension and not have to worry about it down the road.

I'm doing the same. Lots of stuff coming, have a trip in 3 weeks....not sure I can get it installed in that time or not. We'll see!

Hey guys I'm new to everything so just looking for some advice. So I'm between an icon kit and a bilstein 6112/5160 setup. I'm about 95% payment and 5% offroad. My buddies have icon kits and I want to make sure I can go on the same trails with them when offroading. I currently have sliders and a steel skid plate. I plan on getting a slimline bumper in the future and would like to still maintain a 2.5" lift in the front ( I believe this is possible with the bilstein kit on 650lb coils?) and keep the rake look. I don't have a lot of load in the bed normally other than a 50lb tonneau cover. Don't really tow either. Any input would help thank you.
