You can find the RPM for any speed that the truck you’re interested will run using this page:
    http://www.grimmjeeper.com/gears.html

But you need to know the gearing and transmission. This info is on the door sticker others have mentioned

totally normal and acceptable IMO. will it go faster than that if you want it to?
or in other words.. is that like the trucks "ALL OUT" speed? or is it truly cruising.
I am in no way intending on drag racing i just am concerned that that might be occurring at half throttle or something ridiculous causing an absurd fuel dump.

    The 4 banger has a w59 transmission which a 5th gear ration of .85:1 4th gear is 1:1

I plugged all my trucks info into that calculator posted earlier and with my 3.56 gears supposedly I should be able to do 80 at just under 2700 rpms which i want to say should be accurate since i cruise at 70 with about 2300rpm ... but I can actively watch my fuel needle drop when I'm going that fast on the highway

We should be able to get 21mpg but with my extra weight (cap plus about 150lbs in tools) i only avg 17 when i go that fast.

Granted i need a new CAT so i don't know if my mileage will improve after i fix that

I hope you're being sarcastic about the needle drop thing. How many gallons is the tank capable of carrying?
the tacoma is such a "rose with thorns", "double edged sword"... etc.

Long travel f250 pstroke is in my future:rofl:

Also, I wanna clarify that I CAN drive somewhere going 70-75, but if I'm late to work or need to get somewhere, I need to know that im not going to be at WOT hopping up and down in the seat trying to get it to go 85 lmao. picture it:turtleride:

@Slamuel are you really asking people you don't know to accurately describe the performance of a Truck you have pictures of from a state you don't live in ?

my truck tops out at 95. So yes 80 is in its upper range. I only get like 17-18mpg going 80 but I get 20-22 going 70 so I cruise 70 usually.

4x4 tanks are 18 gal and 2wd trucks are 15... if you dont have a skid plate on the tank and bash it on a couple rocks you can only fit about 16.5 gal in it :anonymous:

thats the main reason i never come on here. You can ask completely legitimate questions and ask for real world experience and there's always someone that will come along and try to make you look stupid or treat you like you're retarded for wondering about whatever it may be. I see its just as bad in the 1st gen zone too lol.

Looks like the repaint over surface rust, should be no issue so long as all it was is surface rust... definitely recommended to get close up pic of the spring perches
