Hey all. So...2020 sees no ability to turn headlights off...talk about STUPID.

I want to go to the drivein and turn lights off while in accessory mode. Does anyone have any ideas? Tried the handbrake, lights still on.

    Cheers

Are you talking about the interior lights? If so, the overhead console has a three way switch.

Yeah! It's so dumb. I couldn't even believe it.

This link you share shows that they should turn off in ACC mode if the door is opened, but not the case for me as I had to get out of the truck to check...hmm.
I might have to ask the service desk next time I go in.

I wonder if you could wire up a kill switch or something. Is it a Canadian regulation or law?

My Sport has the auto on/off and auto low beam stuff. If I don’t want the lights to come on I just shut the off with the switch.

Right. There is no OFF switch though. My 18 OR had it. My 20 OR does not. No matter what I do, running lights are always on.

There is probably a setting in Toyota Techstream to do what you want. I'm sure someone here knows where you could download a working copy without needing the annual subscription. But you will end up having to buy a USB to OBDII cable.

There is no way, best we do with key on is turn it into marker light mode.

Really frustrating during updates when voltage is critical.

You can turn them off via the screen. Well, at least you can on a 2020 Limited like my truck.

Go to Settings, Vehicle Customization, Lights. You can turn them off there.

Not sure if you need premium audio or not; probably not???

I might not have the menu navigation names 100% correct, but they're close and trust me it's in there!

My post above is for turning off the DRL on a USA truck, so I'm not sure if this is what you are looking for or not...

There's also some customization you can do with your lights on page 565 of the owner's manual (if things are the same in Canada version - I don't know about that).

Did you apply the handbrake after turning on the truck? On mine the DRLs stay off until I release the brake but once it’s released they won’t go back off unless I turn the truck completely off first, even if I reapply the brake.
