This TSB you listed is pre-delivery service information when vehicle's come to the dealership from the factory Toyota pays that dealership to perform a pre-delivery inspection to give them a last once over before they are ready for sale. So every new model year they re-send out a bunch of these types of TSBs across the whole model line so the information in them may be very generalized in nature in regards to models and years. If a tech during his inspection has a TPWS light on he could pull up this TSB to see how to reset it. As information of any TSBs pertaining to 2009s come available from Toyota you will see it here.

That does make sense that such a simple PDS TSB may not be completely accurate as to all of the changes in a vehicle from year to year. Thanks for the clarification!

Well I'm going to call tomm and see what's up, if I can get new shocks out of it, I'll be pretty stoked, cause I haven't installed the billys in the back yet. But then again, if the 4 pack lifts up the truck an inch to an inch and a half then I'll have to remove the blocks. Anyways, let's keep in touch so we know what our 09's will be granted under the TSB!

So I took my tacoma into the service shop today in regards a speaker rumbling problem i'm having. They're swaping out the head unit for a new one because they're sure thats the problem. Anyone else having this issue? Also, they're checking on the suspension TSB so I'll update here what happens with that

Just got the TSB Suspension done today on my 09 Double Cab. I called customer service first and they they took my complaint and gave me a case number but said i had to bring it to the dealer to do anything about it. Went to the dealer and showed them the TSB and that my part numbers matched. They didnt give me any problems with getting it done. It took about a day and a half to do and they even gave me a loaner car.

Wow, amazing! I just got rejected for the TSB suspension upgrade on my 09 tacoma. They said they will not do it cause the TSB is only up to 08! Any san diego toyota dealers doing the TSB?

Nope, right on top, stick your head in your wheel well and you'll see it.

For those that got it done on their 09's, how much did it lift the rear? Thanks in advance.

Should I ask my dealer to do the suspension before I take delivery?

I would, why not get it all done prior than having any issues after taking delivery, much more bargaining power especially in this poor economy!

I have that ticking sound. I thought for sure it was an exhaust leak because the cat was stolen and replaced. What causes this? And, will the dealer fix it. Also, I have a rough ride around 20 mph where the truck kindof shakes. Anyone hear of that?

As long as your truck fall in the guidelines of these TSB's you should be covered. Just do a search for the TSB number and a link will proably come up to download and print so you can show it to the stealership when they try to give you the runaround.[IMG]
