I don't want to replace the OEM bezel due to my accessories deck. It attaches to the OEM bezel and would doubt any bezel replacements will work.

I ‘think’ you can pretty easily with that radio. You’ll want to see if the bezel is separate from the radio.

pop out the AC controls and see if the bezel will come off without removing the 10mm’s for the radio. If the bezel comes off, you’re golden. You’ll need the Metra 95-8202 and the factory metal brackets from the radio. Sometimes this can take some finagling and several attempts to line everything up, but I’m almost positive it’s possible

i don't think there is any drop in aftermarket units that reuse the stock bezel... not a 100% sure on that.

    How is that thing attached?

You will be able to separate the radio from the bezel, however you will need to make a custom trim ring for around the radio. i don't know the stock radio sizing.

Why wouldn't you be able to attach the deck to the aftermarket bezel? I would think the top area (where it's attached) would be the same as stock and the only functional difference is where the stereo actually mounts. :notsure:

    it has push pins.

it does remove, i know for sure.

but my concern is the reasoning behind bezel replacements..

If i dont replace the bezel, will it leave a gap?

    will it look funny?..etc

If it all works the way I think it does in my head, it will look something like this

The 95-8202 is just those little side brackets. The height should be the same for the new radio.
Swing by your local Best Buy or audio shoot and pick up that part and just pop the bezel off and see if the side pieces fit in there. If they do, you might be in luck. If they dont, return them, no biggie

I hate to say it, but I haven't seen a 2nd gen headunit install that I've liked. It's purely the way the aftermarket designs the bezels. I like an OEM or OEM+ look and haven't seen anything I like yet. But I hope someone comments with something that trips my trigger!
