    Stawk as FUCK!
Kings or Foxs really shine when taking hits at speed. The lower the speed the more they'll feel less impressive, the higher the speed the more "OH SHIT THAT WAS NOTHING" feeling you'll get. 95% of people will benefit with just a simple suspension upgrades. Kings and Foxes are for blasting through desert terrain.

Ahh yes, I actually found that link on another thread. It's what helped me decide I likely want a progressive shock. I will always be loaded with about 200 lbs with tent and rack. Not including any armor in that 200 lbs...not sure if that matters. If so I guess it's about another 200 lbs with skids and sliders, totaling 400

Check out my build thread (Beginning of Money Pit)
If you want rebuildable and custom tuned shocks for your application, then Kings/ Fox pro is what you want

I don't plan on lifting my truck, so I have no skin in this game. However there is a saying I heard recently that I usually adhere to. "I can't afford to be cheap." If spending the extra cash a Kings is better in the long run vs whatever brand, than it is worth it. Like spending money on a Toyota vs a Ford

I have OME 885 coils with 5100s, winch, arb bumper, C tires, and the ride on and off road is still pretty harsh. Its not bad but on bumpy pavement it’s straight ass

Amen. I need to take a picture of some of our roads, literally looks like a pump track in some areas.

Jokes aside, I don’t know much about suspension brands when it comes to TRUCKS. What’s your reasoning in saying that Kings shocks are inferior to aforementioned brands?

Kings, 275/70/17, a few custom items, lots of Meso mods.
I don't think I said they were inferior. I said they got great reviews.:notsure:

You can customize most brands if you really don’t like a color scheme.

Dakar’s are good for the money. Not the best but they get the job down. Just make sure the radio works to drown the noise out.

Agreed. I'm spreading them and applying grease this weekend to see if I can help a little. Sounds like I'm in an old clapped out 80s truck right now.

I'm not a fan, but my original comment that was quoted regarding "function > form" was more so the fact that I won't dismiss a set up or pay extra because I don't like the color lol

there's a tw undercurrent of icon hate due to their quality and issues with rebuilding. i really like my icons but i am not pleased with some oil coming out one of the seals on the rear just after paying $$$ to have them rebuilt. perhaps if i bought kings from the start i would not have this issue?

performance-wise i have no complaints with my coilover and shock setup. 60 mph on a washboard road with good suspension setup and you will know where that $$$ went.

After this long thread and spending the last 24 hours looking at suspension I'm almost to the point of "fuck it, just buy the kings and be done with it"

The wheeling will only get harder. I've been keeping on roads with bypasses and lower ratings because the lack of trust in my suspension and ground clearance.

If only there were a group buy to entice us, I'm ready to grab coils too but that extra savings would push me over the edge =D
