You would think but it's pretty easy when you are used to it, I have the sliders I use as steps.

That, and price, is why I stuck with the silver 1Up. Unfortunately, it also gets hot in the desert sun. I'm sure it's not as hot as black, but it'll still burn your hands if you're not careful.

You can always download the free app. They keep trying to sell me the "paid" version, but the free one works just fine.

I just upgraded to the paid version and it is nice being able to better compare your efforts but I also mountain bike for fun so it isn't something I actively watch.

I do like to see my times on segments and I think they removed that feature from the free version. Pretty much the one and only reason I upgraded.
I also started using the Create a Route feature and it's really nice. My local trail system has a huge variety and a bunch of "spin off" trails so it's nice to be able to have a better plan before riding.

Also, VA Beach, huh? Head to Freedom and New Quarter a bit?

Haven't been up there this year, but I like both of those trails.

I can see my segment times, and it tells me where I stand on that run. But I only see the top 10 times, and if I don't make it there, I have no idea how close I am to moving up in the standings.

But it's all good! Rode 35 miles this morning, so I'm off and running. My biggest limitation is my butt...lol Talked to a good bud (who's been an avid cyclist all his life), and he said to just keep riding until the pain is gone. He recommended getting back on the bike today, but that's a bridge too far...lol I'll do a short ride tomorrow (~12 miles) on my "off day," then shoot for another 35 Friday. Another short ride Saturday, then take Sunday off. I'll try to keep doing 35+ mile rides three days per week through July with a few short rides sprinkled in on my "off" days.

I'm shooting for 500 miles and the "silver" award. I did a little over 600 last year, so 500 shouldn't be a problem. But I'll keep going after crossing the 500 mile barrier...

Do you wear a chamois? Also seat is a big deal, for me at least. I used to think it didn’t matter then I got a new saddle and it was the worst thing ever. Ended up switching to an Ergon SR and that was way better. My newest bike has a WTB volt and it’s probably the best saddle I’ve tried so far. Very personal choice though.

Nice, I used to frequent both those places quite often. More-so Freedom since there's a little more variety than New Quarter. I'll be visiting family in VA Beach later this month and I was thinking about renting a bike to go play around out there again.

    Saddles are huge.
MTB has the WTB Volt, everything else gets the Specialized Power Saddle

My buddies have been bugging me about Strava for years. I have no interest in any version of their app. Any thing that requires me to take out my phone more is a no for me.

Many LBSs do a seat demo program. I highly recommend trying a few options to see what fits your tush. I've been getting way less butt hurt since upgrading my seat on all my bikes

I wear a watch too. It tells me the time, elevation, barometric pressure, and direction of heading. If it told me any more information than that, it'd defeat the point of not looking at my phone.
