so now to look for 17 inch wheels that i like. and i want to have atleast 4.50 inches of backspacing. and i am thinking the 285x70r17 would be something to work with. essentially a 33 inch tire and it will look great im sure.
i appreciate all the help. and any further info is always helpful

and i am goin for the off road look. after all i have a 4x4 so i need to set it up for what it is made for... thats just my opinion tho. i agree some of the "street" trucks look great but they are not my style. and the only reason i was planning on getting 18s was bc those were the smallest size that the monsters came in. originally wanted to keep the stock size or 17 inch rim

Very practical. Durable. Hit a rock with one, and you can bend it back with your big effin' hammer.

Personally, I don't hit the trail *that* hard so I'm happy with my alloys.

i agree. i just know that you cant really go wrong with them. also if i get tired of them i can just save for some more wheels rather easily. oh well... now i have the great project of procrastinating in school and work to find a set of 17 inch wheels! can only be a good thing for sure

also should i go with a 9 inch width when looking for wheels or should i just keep a 8.5 inch width rim? and is there that much of a difference?

I personally like wide tires so I went with these.

    33x12.5x15's on 15x10" rims with a 4.76" backspacing and a -44mm off set.

4.5" bs'ing, 0mm offset is what I have and they clear perfectly.

    I would probably stick with a 16x8 or 17x8.

those are badass. haha my roommate has a f150 with 37x13.50s and they are sick. haha just a little too big for me. i also like wide tires.

i also know for a fact that 285/75r16 will not clear stock. and idk if this is because of the offset or what the offset is equal to.

Stock as in lift or wheels? You can just get spacers otherwise 285/75/16 will hit the uca's if you are running stock wheels.

Wow, when i read the first post I said to myself "Theres no f***ing way that tire will fit." haha. When I get new tires Ill be going one profile size bigger. From a 265-70 to a 265-75-16. Im only going to be lifting my truck about 2". 32" tire is enough for me....... for now :)
