Food. Bait the traps with good wet food. Mash it up in the can for emphasis.

If you catch strays, TNR. If you can.

My wife does TNR with her boss daily. They have probably trapped 100 strays this year within walking distance from her work. The two I trapped I see daily so not sure if there outdoor house cats or strays. They were both pretty pissed at me though

Standard cat. They're better off for it though.

I dont have enough money, nor do local programs, for full TNR ops here. I've done several on my own time and dime, gotten two TNR appointments through the local program, but that's it. It's a drop in the bucket but I do what I can.

The local low cost spay neuter clinic does there’s for like 10$ a piece. Her and her boss are very active trapping. I have a few now that we’re trapped rescues that we adopted. Pretty awesome

For $10 a pop I might be able to actually make some damn progress here.

If I take 'em across the border to mexico, it's still at least five times that.

Damn that’s crazy. They do a spray it forward program so a lot of times people will pay a few dollars extra and tnr cats end up costing nothing to have fixed. Happened a few times with some of the ones they have trapped. We always throw 100$ toward it if ours ends up being free

No people still suck. But there is a good amount of people involved here with tnr. My wife and her boss have probably found homes for atleast 75 cats this year alone. There is a car dealer across from where she works and there is a whole damn cat community running the woods back there. They feed them everyday. Some are feral and can’t be homed. Some they have been trying to trap for years. Luck of the draw I guess.

Update on this guy who showed up a while ago dragging his intestines behind him. He’s doing great. Vet said he’s probably 5-6 years old. His eyes are a little funky but he’s soft as cotton and sweet as butter. We named this one yota.

OK, it took me a few minutes to figure out what "TNR" was referring to, but then I realized - oh yeah, we did about 30 of those when we moved in here.
