    I appreciate your input.

    Who knows. Maybe I’ll get there and be smitten by the awesomeness of a pro model and take one home. :anonymous:

    I used a 290 Farm Boss for many years, and for what it sounds like you need it for, probably plenty enough saw. I'd really like an 044 or 066, but I don't need one. Which means I'll end up with an 044 at some point

    Buy the VP or Stilh one gallon premix while your at it. Your saw will love it and it packs up really nice.

    not to get too far down the rabbit hole of chainsaws... but if you're looking at an 066 i'd recommend looking at an MS 660. the 066s didnt have a compression release valve, whereas they added it to the MS 660. not an issue with the 044 as it's only like a 70cc saw. but it'd be nice to have on something like a 660 which is a 90cc saw.

    Some 066s had a decomp. I don't think I'd end up with a saw that big though, the 44 really is great for just about anything except the really big stuff. I won't go into the woods without a saw, but the 170 I've got now is pretty anemic, but surprisingly capable

    Got a new shift knob for the TCase today. Gotta repaint the white letters better than what I have and tried to do. But it’s better than the stock fj case knob I had

    Well, they’re out of the Farm Boss (271).

    Go with the smaller Wood Boss or the larger 291? 271 and 291 weigh the same.

    @Wyckedan, @razhick4x4

    Edit: Found a 271.

    now that these huge doug fir's were dropped in my back yard I really need a 32" bar. On the hunt once again. Going to try CL again. I have a shit ton of it to cut up. Probably need to rent a splitter too.

    If you’re not buying new I’d stay away from anything that ends in a ‘1’. That’s when they switched to the non-adjustable carburetors to cut down on pollution and noise.

    I’m headed in tomorrow to pick up a 271. Aurora Rentals.

    Didn’t look like McLendons had any pros.

    There’s a legit saw shop in Sedro-Woolley. Woods Logging may have exactly what you want so you don’t have to settle. I’m bringing my 036pro with a 20” bar. I’m leaving my big bar here hopefully there isn’t any old growth pines laying on the road.

    Are floor mats a mod?
    compact, packs a wallop, people freak when it snaps open. Great for forearms, wrists, hands, elbows, knees, collarbones. Can poke pretty well too. Keep it away from the head because it can easily kill. Wa. Is one of only a few states where you do not need to be Licensed to carry one.

    Impressive. But not "quite" as impressive as pulling out a cobra. I'm picturing some dude with an abnormally large fanny pack unzipping it and pulling a pissed off snake out. I carry a taser. There's no thinking twice about shooting somebody with it like with a firearm.
