Is Quaker State synthetic oil as good as Mobile 1?
There is a 10 dollar difference at my oil change place.

Before the cult of Amsoil members get here, as long as the oil is correct viscosity and has the proper certification, your engine won't fail because of brand.

You just spent $40k give or take on a truck and you are looking to save $10 on an oil change? Interesting.

Check Mobil 1's website as they do $12 Rebates several times a year. I usually buy a few extra jugs and stash it in the garage, an oil change ends up costing less than $20 if you do it yourself.

Ironically, I was always in that cult. Now it doesn't meet proper certs on the new truck so I'm back to Pennzoil :(

A big yellow company (rhymes with ushotu) wants us to approve an Oil for use with our components in cold weather. We just finished up a million cycle test and they just finished the endurance test. Waiting on lab results now. If you guys only knew you wouldn't care which brand as long as it meets test!
In my case they are working neg 40F. Yeah it's synthetic lol and makes 0W-20 look like maple syrup!

I'm a fan of avocado oil.

Lots of good, heart healthy fats in that avocado oil! Also has a high smoking point.

It's a winner, that avocado oil, it is!

You have a '20 and you've already exhausted your 'free' changes at the dealer, scheduled for every 10k?

If you don't have the ability or facility to do your own changes, at least find a good independent shop that will do it for you, as well as other service work you need in the future.

It'll be a cold day full of sleet on Clearwater Beach before I let an iffy lube type shop touch my vehicles.

Supertech with 7500-10000 changes. I have zero worries using it and black stone has confirmed its doing its job!

That is the key to assurance for us average guys. Rather than anecdotal, YouTube and marketing 'evidence'.

X2. I just changed out all my oils. I had to get my rear bearings done and Toyota put a synthetic oil back in my diff. I ran it for a few days prior to changing it out and man can you feel the difference.

I’ve had my truck for six years now. I’ve tried Mobil1,Redline,Royal Purple and Amsoil. If I’m in a pinch, I’ll grab some Mobil1 because it’s so easily attainable at Walmart. I’ve watched all the videos on how they put them through rigorous testing and I decided to go with Amsoil. I’ve been happy with it’s results but to each his own.

Oil threads are like waving threads on motorcycle forums.
Of course the oil threads are just as bad on motorcycle forums.
