    Thanks for the info.

I’ve had zero issues with call quality, Siri or wireless CarPlay.

Well, I thought that too... so I bought another one.

I currently have two harnesses and two maestros - and all the same problems :-D

I'm the definition of pot committed at this point!

I have no idea. You’re 100% all your wiring is correct? If so maybe you should take it to a professional installer.

I grew up w/ an electrician for a father, so Im no dummy - but Im 100% NOT an electrician. Which means... literally nothing, but thanks for listening to my story! :-D

However, in this case, it's pretty hard to mess this one up - it's color-to-color the entire way, with one 3-way on the blue/blue white - yellow/black is capped, yellow green is capped.

I'm truly at a loss on this one - Im worried Im going to have to take it to a mechanic that specializes in wiring issues... which isn't a lot of them. The problem doesn't seem to be with the head unit as the Maestro is throwing the error well before the head unit is even connected, or data, etc

Yea, that’s why I’m lost on it. The wiring is super simple. I recommend a pro because maybe they’ve seen this issue before and would know how to solve it.

You know, I called the local shop to ask about an extra data cable a few weeks back - explained the problem I was having, and told them I was installing a Maestro using idatalink/etc - they scoffed and said, "We only use {insert some bs here} harnesses, so good luck" - so it seems Im not gonna get a lot of help from those guys either.

I'd happily skip the maestro if I could get back up cam to work - my worry is that the maestro harness is preventing the backup camera from working - just a black screen (though reverse is detected) - I wonder if that's a power issue?

The clock is grayed out when I only had the GPS antenna disconnected. However, when I disconnected the pink VSS wire this morning, the clock came back and is not grayed out anymore.

Is your backup camera just not activating when in reverse? Easy fix if so, sorry I haven’t read all of the posts.

The HU switches to a rear view camera view, but it's black - so Im unsure if it's activated OR a dead signal. What's the fix and I'll def. give that a try!

Ahhh I don’t think my answer will be of much help then.

I have a 2015 Prius which probably shares similar wiring as your Tacomas. My Pioneer wasn’t switching to the reverse camera AT ALL. It was getting the reverse signal from the maestro RR which wasn’t working for whatever reason. I found the wire that gets a reverse signal in the drivers side kick panel and used this instead of the reverse wire coming from the maestro T harness. Sounds like you have a different issue though, your head unit detects that you’re in reverse but the camera doesn’t show up. Mine wouldn’t even detect that I was in reverse.

@Arisian Sucks. All the people I share these interests in are in other states. I would gladly be over helping u with this. Not that I 100% could get it working, but definitely have stereo wiring experience. 2 eyes better kind of deal. It drives me crazy to not be able to at least walk u through it. What deck did u have before this? Everything worked on it correct? If it did it’s not going to be a truck wiring issue. Your steering wheel controls are not working still correct? Your steering wheel does have the buttons on both sides correct?

Is the purple w/white from the maestro harness connected to the purple and white from the deck? This is the positive power for reverse signal. Also in camera settings needs to be on (positive)
