I appreciate it, I rather replace it while doing the suspension and not have to worry about it down the road.

I'm doing the same. Lots of stuff coming, have a trip in 3 weeks....not sure I can get it installed in that time or not. We'll see!

Hey guys I'm new to everything so just looking for some advice. So I'm between an icon kit and a bilstein 6112/5160 setup. I'm about 95% payment and 5% offroad. My buddies have icon kits and I want to make sure I can go on the same trails with them when offroading. I currently have sliders and a steel skid plate. I plan on getting a slimline bumper in the future and would like to still maintain a 2.5" lift in the front ( I believe this is possible with the bilstein kit on 650lb coils?) and keep the rake look. I don't have a lot of load in the bed normally other than a 50lb tonneau cover. Don't really tow either. Any input would help thank you.

Everyone trashes Icon on here, look around. Use wise I’m roughly in the same boat. Armor wise I’m stock. I just got my 6112/5160 kit from wheelers w the expedition springs and UCA’s. Even though it’s higher it feels better on road. Got a chance to go offroad this week and the difference is awesome compared to stock. The wait time is long but the price can’t be beat, someone also posted that rockauto has the 6112’s cheap right now w a tacoworld discount. For the cost difference it was a no brainer

Yup! I posted on the 6112’s, $603.xx out the door. Just got and installed mine today!!!! They do have a deal on the 5160’s as well. But I can’t recall the price as I purchased B110’s for the extended travel.

However....I was just about to post about the prices. But it seems like word got around and the 6112’s from RockAuto are gone.

I was planning on going with wheeler's too but for whatever reason they don't offer the bilstein 650 coils. I know that they do offer king and their house brand but I kind of wanted to stay consistent. Exactly what setup did you go with?

I did the 650lbs with Dakar from Headstrong. I know you didn't ask me but :p

I'm hoping to have the stuff in about a week.

You don't need the seal unless a mistake is made. I didn't replace mine.

I'd call them and see if they will assemble with 650's. Not sure. Or, say the magic words.

I already asked, they wouldn't change the package.

I see. Guess you gotta buy em extra and assemble them yourself.

Well they may assemble them if you buy the stuff all separate, they just won't change the kit offerings. So you lose the package discount.

I think it rides fine without the sway bar. Others say you get a lot of body roll but I think it’s not much. Took it loaded camping and felt fine on the highway too. The shocks are definitely a good improvement over the stock ones and still rides better even with no sway bar. No regrets.

I second that, I ordered a set of 650# replacement springs from Headstrong on Sunday and got them before noon today (2-1/2 days later)
