Yup! So what would be our ideal length for coilovers? You have any specs on your ohlins? I’m guessing there will not be any physical fitment issues. Only need that bolt pattern which shouldn’t be that hard.

So is anybody else interested in a set of viking coilovers if everything lines up right for us 6 luggers?

I'll have to look through some photo records.

What where XII Performance used for there coilovers, is what I first used. Then had the Ohlins built around those. I used the ProComp strut tower adapters. I wanted to upgrade to the King ones, but never got around to it.

If the Viking ones are similar to the XII ones, then you're pretty close to being in business.

The only problem though, is these coilovers don't have the standoff, like the OEM ones. The standoff at the bottom, which allows them to clear the axle shafts.

That would have to be discussed.

The main reason for shortening the knuckles is to provide better range on adjustable UCAs and more important the angle of the UCAs. You want the UCAs more parallel to the ground vs perpendicular.

I think like @Torspd said... The stand off and clearance for the bottom is the main concern while the bolt pattern for the top should be the easy part. Where as these Viking adjustable shocks can be built to any length.

Any update on how this worked out for you? I have been researching the same mod as my speedometer if off and would like to fix it.

I don’t have the skills quite yet for welds like that. I had my local welder do it. His work is hard to beat.

Yea I understand the reasoning for shortening the spindle but wondering if they going to use little shorter coilover to make up for shorter spindle . Then again that 1 in might not make a difference in my case .

Mines a prerunner so no problem with axle clearance . Will follow thread to see what you come up with .

They perform a lot better than stock. Front end isn’t choppy over bumps and you can really push the truck harder into the corners.

I have 600lb springs on my truck right now and I will be installing the 750lb springs soon to test out on the track.

Upper and lower mounts are spherical bearings, lower spring perch nut has a thrust bearing to make it easier to adjust ride height while loaded.

Coilover Mount is machine from 6061 aluminum and anodized

I have 750ppi springs on mine right now. Curious what your impressions are, before I say anything.

What are your thoughts on the 750lb springs?

600LB springs feel good for street use
