Hey guys! I got a 1993 harley Fat Boy FLSTF 20200410_125527.jpg

I am about to move across the country and I built a motorcycle pallet with bolted in tie down points. I just ordered a bolt on front tie down point. The rear however is a different story. I purchased a setup that unfortunately does not work for my model ( website says may not work for all models so I took a gamble) does anyone have a reccomendation for securing ? I am thinking 2x soft shackles looped around the frame attached to ratchet straps for the rear.

Front again bolt in solution when it shows up.

Anyone with experience or reccomendations please share with me. It is a 2900 mile road trip and I don't want to half ass this at all.

Is there enough room to run a strap over the tire?

I could muster that but I'd think with the small movements and constant tension that the strap would slide off? I can try it and see. I plan on going full strap downs on this. 2 front. 2 mid. 2 rear. 1 over the seat possibly

Just found a picture of my old SV. First trip with the SV through Rocky Mountain national park with my wife. It snowed on us and we stopped for milkshakes. Good times!

Nope! It’s bone stock and I won’t be changing anything on it.
It’s plenty of fun in stock form.

I wish I had your restraint....

I’m lucky to live in a college town where ninja 250s are easy to buy cheap. I have 4. The silver one was made of 3 bikes that were previous write offs.

I usually go through the rim,but obviously you cant. i would say ratchet strap through the lower frame then back to your tie down point. one on each side. i am assuming enclosed trailer.

Fellow K-Biker, nice! My '85 K75's odometer broke about 60,000 miles ago -- I think I'm at 120,000 now, how many miles on yours?

well, you're attached to the most disgusting hot garbage smelling rat infested over populated shit hole in the country.

Unfortunately I am anchored down by NYC too, but just at the furthest west possible, in Buffalo. I personally don't have property but there's a lot of places to go to.
