Looks like it is big enough for future growth, if wanted.

So I was browsing prochargers page for probably the 100th time because I'm inpatient at looking at the kit helps hold me over, and I noticed that the two tacomas they have installed kits on have two different head units

    https://www.procharger.com/gallery/1211/2016-toyota-tacoma
    https://www.procharger.com/gallery/1214/2010-toyota-tacoma

Anyone know why they would do this? I looked up both the superchargers and found this post on a mustang forum
    https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/just-a-heads-up-p1sc1-vs-d1sc.60972/

I also found this chart comparing the two. The website for the actual kit lists the D-1SC but the black tacoma that they use for promo pictures uses the P-1SC-1. Even though the P-1SC-1 looks like it puts out more HP on their install doesn't it seem like the D-1SC is the better unit? Please correct me if I am wrong though!

This thread and the supercharger mega thread is making me want to get a 2015 instead of a 3g

plus I already know the ins and outs.......
    :burnrubber:

    Edit:
I sold mine in the beginning of 2019 and it seemed like getting a tune was going to cost 2k from URD and now... NOW THERES ALL THIS.

I got the 5-15 Tuner kit with D-1SC(helical gears). It came with everything except the HP tuner, fuel injectors, and pump booster. I opted for the winch style intercooler but it would require some major hacking to get it to work on my FJ with the All Pro bumper so i'm doing air/water instead. (If anyone is looking for a really nice air/air intercooler LMK.)

I can post some pics of the kit later, it's in a GIANT box and I haven't had time to tear into it yet.

I just have the default pulley for now, says 8psi on the paperwork. I'm just gonna run with that for now to get everything sorted. I will be swapping in a built bottom end and will go for more later for sure.

Yep, it's a bunch of hoses & $hit. :rofl:The intercooler is 18.25 x 10.5 x 3, a weeee lil laddie. They included some extra oil kits for a few changes. Everything is nicely packaged and looks to be nice quality.

That's the one intercooler I got to see when I went up to their shop! Mine is the non-winch version so longer but not as tall

Probably wouldn't be that interesting. I'm making this up as I go and there will be a lot of these types of moments.

So looking between the two "kits" it seems like the main difference would be in the fuel pump setup and then the tuning. Price difference between the two kits seems like it is pretty much the same when everything is said and done, with the tuner kit even costing more potentially.

Just rough numbers but...for the tuner kit
    5100 for the "kit"
~500 for injectors (FIC 525cc plus PnP harness)
~200 urd fuel pump kit with AEM 320LPH E85
    ~350 hptuner stuff (MPV12 plus 1 credit)
plus however much for a tune

Id imagine the benefit of a custom tune vs prochargers is that prochargers is probably more universal so wouldnt be changing any shift point or anything like that?

The wheel is turning in my head on getting one of these. Just be a timing thing since Im moving in ~4-5 weeks lol

You're correct the cost in the end will be similar. Main reasons I went for the tuner kit was because I already had the HPTuner, and deals lined up for the extra items needed. (fuel system, etc)

@JustDSM does custom tunes for ~$50. Or bench tunes for ~$200.

    Deliver to new house?! :D
