very true. it's also a very effective method of creating a DIY anti-theft lug nut. so effective in fact... that the only way to remove it is to shear off the lug stud and replace it:rofl:. The guys at Discount Tire clued me in about this one, I would never have guessed;):annoyed::D.

Got rid of the squeal at full lock by giving the ol Dark Knight its most likely first PS fluid flush. Cleaned the reservoir. Turned into a show, but now also have three new serpentine belts.

Also installed my first ever stereo. I was always so nervous about them. It was pretty easy minus me being tired and thinking it had to slide in from the front of the trim, thus forcing me to utilize an utility knife to shave out an opening I never needed.

    P.S.

The Pioneer DMH-220ex is a POS, don't buy it. Love Pioneer, but this one is worthless.

If you want a good guide with the part numbers included check out Adventure Taco's write up (This is for running a breather extension)

Got my new fuel line done up for the fuel rail >>> fuel filter run. It’s 4AN stainless steel braided fuel line and anodized AN fittings.

Stock one pictures next to it. The reason I’m extending it is because of my supercharger, the way the four cylinders one work is you have to run it through the intake runners and it’s a pain to do fuel rail or fuel injector work because it’s too short.

I had the 01-04 pink injectors but I think those were causing my misfire. So I put the brown ones back.

I've been meaning to do this for at least 8 years.

Two questions I've asked (because I've read different answers to both):

    1. Do you put a one-way breather at the end of the line (behind the gas door in this case) or do you put a two way breather?

    2. Do you mount the breather behind the gas door (in this case) horizontal or vertical?
    Argument for a two-way breather vs a one-way: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/diy-differential-breather-extension.15223/page-9#post-10341341

Box is welded out and on the truck, rear winch is installed, waiting on replacement line, and ARB compressor is installed, and the locker is plumber in. Lots of little stuff to do yet, but at least I’ll be able to wheel this weekend!

I find with Pioneer that if you don't get their Top Tier stuff it's pretty sub par. At least that's how it was with their Home Entertainment stuff.

Yeah, I honestly didn't put that much thought into it. The breather seems to be the same type that was originally installed, but with a male end for a 3/8 hose. Here is a pic of the breather I used. The write up has the other and both part numbers :)

That looks like the front breather (for front diff and transmission). That’s a two-way/free flow no-check valve.

It is my fault for not reading the fine print, but it said hands free calling and I have been using a Pioneer deck in my cars for years that could activate Siri and make calls for me. Figured this is a new model so it must be able to do what the older models could do. Nope.

I also don't have a back up camera and since it doesn't mirror your phone the big screen is pretty much worthless to me.

I have found that the AVH 1400NEX on up are solid.

To keep this thread on track though, I woke up at 3:00am realizing that I had forgot to tape the camera wire, so pulled everything back out and taped it.

Also unhooked the Piezo so no more beeping when locking and unlocking. I found you have to unhook the battery though or your remote locks stop working for some reason.

At least I am done with car stuff by 7:00am today instead of 8:00pm like last night.

I hope that pump works out better for you than it did for me.

After one quart of pumping the internals on it grenaded and rendered itself useless. Had to gravity feed the rest of my fluid changes that day.

I got sick of trying to switch quarts out while underneath a hot car. Bought a gallon pump with three different style caps and gallon jugs Mobil 1 gear oil. Guess what? The lid on the Mobil is unusually large and the pump caps don't fit. Have to hold it by hand. Still better than quarts.

Quick question... 3rd Gen 4Runner Limited wheels. I can't remember... anyone know how they fit with Tundra brakes?
