    Some really cool shit
Lots of fishing friends on FB. Here was a recent post someone forwarded. Not anyone I know, though.

    ray.jpg wound.jpg

    Description of the event:

Did a little fishing yesterday and ended up in the hospital. I have a new found respect for California’s little Round Ray (Urobatis halleri). I pulled up a small stingray I hadn’t ever caught before and while going to unhook and release it in a flash it jabbed it’s little razor sharp tail spine into my wrist cutting me down to my tendons...the wound itself was no biggie in my mind. Maybe a few stiches I figured ...but I had no idea the effects of the venom would be so pronounced. It started off with a bit of vertigo and a rolling nauseated feeling, then I could feel a dull hammering pain move up my arm into my shoulder and eventually into the left side of my chest cavity and finally settling into my left jaw. Blood pressure was lowered and breathing felt odd. My chest felt warm, tingly and very heavy. The whole car ride to the hospital I felt like I might’ve thrown up, shit my pants or faint or some sick combination of them all combined at any moment. Once in the hospital they put me on pain meds which wouldn’t even touch the throbbing cramping pains that now occupied the whole left side of my upper torso as muscular tremors set in. After rinsing the wound with warm saline xrays were taken to see if any spine material had been left behind. Thankful that no big bits were found. After injecting me with an antibiotic and a tetanus shot the effects of the venom seemed to have timed out a bit over what had now been about 3-4 hours of being envenomated. I was discharged and went home feeling like I had just had the left side of my body ran over by a truck. This morning there’s just dull pain from my wrist up to my shoulder blade that should in theory subside by later today., crazy to think this cute little ray packs such a punch. Lesson learned. Otherwise a fun day on the water.

The only picture I have of ours is of it sitting in storage, but we've got the Big Chief.
Haven't used it yet, but plan on putting it to much use post-move.

Once for brats and trying to make jerky from a London broil I marinated over night in Trader Joe’s soyaki.

I used too much wood so the brats had that smoky astringent taste. Jerky came out great texture wise but the marinade is a little over powering.

So far it feels like a glorified hydrater. Max temp it runs at is 165f. People get more by adding insulation.

If anyone looking to get alignment done, there is a shop in Fremont that does decent job and they're much cheaper than some of the alternatives. Cost $80 bucks out of the door and got numbers to where I wanted them to be. They are called Fremont Alignment in Albrae at. By the way @CrashN'Burn told me about that shop.

I tried going to Firestone in Hayward and they told me that they can't go out if "factory specs". Not sure if wheel works can get the alignment right for lifted truck with bigger tires, but if they can, I might give them a shot as well.

Someone lost their pet bunny (definitely domestic and not native) but young of the year owls scored a good meal.

Try two. Small piece of salmon.

    Used way less wood chips.

Definitely not the way to hold it. Either grab it by the wings and spread out like you are giving your balls a batwing in the fan, stick your pointer (fingers) in ear holes, or stop being such a pussy and grab that shit by the mouth like a man. They don’t have teeth

you following me around town Karan?

Yesterday and today’s alignment adventures sucked. Couldn’t even get to 2 caster.

Firestone Stockton, Firestone Hayward and finally Wheel Works Livermore

Dude I feel your pain! It's pain in the ass finding a good alignment shop that doesn't cost arm and leg has 2 week waiting period. That's why I posted in the thread.
