    I don't think I'm imagining this.
I recently removed the tiny 15 inch stock wheels and stock size tires off of my '09 Access cab and replaced them with 245/65/17 all the way around.
    I didn't touch anything else.
The truck requires noticeably more force on the pedal to stop now.
Has anyone else dealt with this?
    Would full metallic pads help?

Pedal material simply prevents overheating and brake fade. It can help but its not a true solution to heavier rims.

I would start by simply inspecting them, and adjusting the rear shoes.

I've ordered a set of full ceramic AKEBONO pads and shoes.
I've got El cheapo auto parts organic stuff now.
I'll post again after I've got the ceramic set bedded in.
I'll also bleed the system and swap out the DOT 4 for fresh stuff.

Mostly stock with a few minor mods.
Bigger diameter tires and heavier weight will take more energy to stop. It shouldn't be a huge difference, but not surprised you can feel it. If you had a coke can in your hand and swung it in a circle it would take more muscle power to stop your arm if you swung a 6 pack around in the same manner. Physics.

These wheels and tires weigh a friggin ton.
