AMD...it fluctuates between $50 and $55 regularly...if you look at the chart...So when it's below $50 I bought the $50 call...and then it rose to $53 and I sold it back at a profit. I would not sell AMD to get in a penny stock unless I had a time machine. I have stock in companies like ABT that I will probably never sell in the next 10 years...
It's the whole eggs in a basket thing...
if you were selling some AMD to flip in and out at a profit and you only had 15 shares and you sell 10 that would be not as big a deal as dropping 100+ shares to get into ZOM...a $500 play on ZOM today buys you 2,940 shares at $0.17. If that gets to $0.22 you've got $150 profit...so you're at $750 and you buy back into AMD at $50 a share and your 10 shares are now 13 shares...and with the 5 you held you have 18 shares. That's the kind of move I would make...
ZOM on the rise..slow and steady...

AGAIN Buyer Beware...and always have a balanced portfolio...Like the fact that NRGU is now my top holding

 

I usually toss out a few and get some responses from the masses if I'm not sure what to make of something.

Spread it all around...diversify....I got caught chasing that one and put on a back pack instead of a parachute...

 

my sell didn't trigger the day it peaked like crazy hoping it will bounce again once its quarterly results come out.

 

I'm guessing shorts are covering right now...lots of volume

See, I know NRGU will come back up but it's so boring with my monopoly account just sitting there doing nothing......I've done nothing "fun" for like 3 weeks.

Saw there won't be a country wide mask mandate - I actually agree with that. How is the federal gubment going to enforce that? I get it for traveling, etc. they can have a hand in it, but for me going down to the shops? Nah, let the states handle that. I actually think it's the right move - to not push a national mask mandate, since the states are doing it and can control it based on their numbers and regions a lot more effectively, and respond to a spike or dip as appropriate.

 

Looks like we have some profit taking to close out the day...everything is settling down like a hot air balloon at dusk....

 

I think a rally would be a better way to go into the weekend.

 

I've been in and out twice of NRGU twice in 3 weeks. Plus at least 10 in and outs on other securities. So far my strategy is winning big and it's far from boring. YMMV. Lol

 

What have you bought lately? I think our investing styles are similar. I added to AAPL, PFE, TROW, and TGT today, but not excited about these prices.

 

Hey everyone I thought I’d pop in here and ask a question. I know it’s a bit off topic in a way but what’s everyone’s general thoughts on investing through the robinhood app? Im new to this so I was wanting some opinions before I did anything.

 

I got a little heady with GNUS a few weeks ago. Sold at 40% profit, only to buy back at the immediate first dip and then watched it plummet from there. Right now averaged in at $4.48 @500 shares. Yesterday i figured Ill sell some covered calls, set what i thought was a decent premium for $5 and $6 dollar strikes, and now have just been watching it skyrocket today.

Obviously, I know exactly what Im doing.
