I totally get the DIY culture of TW, I started this install and had to bailout. Dropped off at a installer, and went for a run. Came back 2hrs later, flush and working perfectly. I have great respect for someone that can do this themself. It was just too far outa my wheelhouse.

@Khoadattran I pulled my deck back out to do the ACC wire around the maestro. I went ahead and disconnected the vss and gps antenna. When I start my truck i do get the initial warning, hit ok. Also get (GPS Antenna Disconnected Connect GPS antenna) or somehting of this nature. Video does continue to play. I can even switch back and forth between video and wired carplay. Trying to see if the avassist app will let me make one of the right side screens on the home screen be set to carplay. Would be cool to have the larger window be youtube, and the smaller bottom ride window be carplay. If anyone finds a way to do this let me know. But so far on a 30 min drive video works and no vss wire alerts. Thanks

@Markdizle Thanks again for this info! I went ahead and just ran the red acc wire from the pioneer straight to the red/black wire coming off of the maestro harness where it meets the oem harness. So doing it this way the red wire to the maestro stays in tact. Don't know if it needs to be but just bypassed the maestro completely. Ill let everyone know if it decides to restart on me anytime soon. Thanks again bro. Hopefully the maestro guys know what they're talking about. LOL

Good thing it works out for you. I do not get any "error" message dealing with GPS Antenna Disconnected Connect GPS antenna.

Are you running the update from last week or whenever it was? Yeah i get it for a second or so. I do not get the moving screen alert like u do though. This stuff is weird. I don't understand why we all see different results? Even @Arisian with the red light flash. I don't understand. Maybe theres some small difference in wiring from an entune to jbl that throws things off? I want to see everyone get the most out of these $1K stereos! This is the most $ I have ever spent on a deck! These things should be Perfect for the amount that they cost!

I appreciate that - frankly there's no one else in town that I trust to be able to pay to do this. I'm pretty used to drawn out messes at this point - however, if there was someone who I believe could help (ive called, as well) it would be there within 10 minutes

I totally agree with you. For 1k plus, I want it to work flawlessly. This is the most money I have spent on my truck. I'm glad my Wife haven't found out yet. She would murder me for spending that much on a headunit. Hopefully, we can all help each other out to figure out the kinks and what not. I feel so bad that @Arisian ran into a lot of crazy things installing this headunit. I hope he can find out the problem soon so he can enjoy this 1k headunit.

    Cool stuff
You guys should look at the AVIC8500 bypass and see if that works .... no trickery of the Headunit and all software based

Took me a couple of tries to get it right .... maybe try a couple more times following the steps closely .... I would think the developer bypass is the future with our trucks being CAN-BUS

should the head unit turn on if the maestro is 100% removed from the harness?

I don't believe so because the ACC/Red wire is run through the maestro.

    **Update**

    Here's where we are:

    - Maestro tech support checked firmware to make sure it was compatible, 100% good.
    - Crutchfield is replacing the head unit at this point.

I'll have double of everything in my garage within the next 8 days.

I was on the phone with them. they record every time you flash a Maestro device - that's why you have to log in to the Weblink website or the desktop app. He spent about 30 minutes going through the firmware to first, confirm with his team that they had tested for a 2019 + the 6600nex (Which they had 3 in house), then he went through to check the firmware itself to make sure it was enabled for that vehicle. Really great customer service experience.

I also talked to Crutchfield immediately after and they confirmed the same conclusion - its the headunit.

The more I think about it, the more I agree. Backup camera not working, data port not working - the PCB for data seems to be broken on that unit.
